Windows 10 is a technical preview (I would call it an Alpha release) therefore there is no reason to expect any software to run properly on it, specially security software, let alone call this failure to install a bug from the side of Norton's products. If you don't mind, I would change the title of this thread. All newer Intel CPUs are compatible (like Core 2, Core i3/5/7).

If you have an Intel CPU: If your socket is LGA775, only Pentium4's which have the following codenames are compatible: Cedar Mill, Presler & only G1 revision ones from Prescott. All models which use DDR2 or newer memory controller are compatible. If you have an AMD CPU : those AMD processors are not compatible which use DDR1 memory controller and use Socket 754, 939 & 940, except D, E & F stepping models. I don't know what are the differences in the Enterprise edition as I use the 'normal' Win10 TP.

I noticed a warning with the 64 bit (Enterprise)Р’В offer about older hardware > I downloaded the Enterprise 32 bit version but I'll probably use the normal preview at least at first. Yes, you can install it as a dual-boot OS, the installer is exactly the same as Win8.1's one (which is the same as in Win7) just with a different build number and wallpaper. as before which enables one to dual boot which I will be doing.

The only thing you need to do is download a small setup file (setup.exe from MS Win10 download link) then search for new updates on WU.

I'm running the 64-bit version of Win10, but I think the installer will say the same thing with 32-bit release.Р”Р„nd just another warning: Be aware that Windows Update can not be disabled, not even set to 'Notify me about updates, but don't install them' the only option is to automatically install the updates. I'll be installing the 32 bit shortly although my computer would support 64 but I need to run an old Windows 98SE generation bit of software that my wife uses and it has a 16 bit installer. I'd try to reboot, ignore the Ghost nag until after downloading and installing all of the sindows updates.
